Bezirksmuseum Hietzing
Wien, Wien
Housed in a former school building, this district museum has a historicist façade over walls that date back to before 1680. Its displays run from Old Stone Age finds to the 20th century, with historical views, keepsakes of the imperial court nearby at Schönbrunn, and a section on local clubs and social life. Among the personal relics are Bertha von Suttner's typewriter, Egon Schiele's easel and a model of Josef Hoffmann's Villa Primavesi.
