Arno-Schmidt-Museum

Eldingen, Niedersachsen

The writer Arno Schmidt lived in the heath village of Bargfeld near Celle from 1958 until his death in 1979, together with his wife Alice. His house and garden can be visited on a guided tour, which must be booked in advance. A foundation also looks after the couple's literary estate.
