Archäologisches Museum Gunzenhausen

Gunzenhausen, Bayern

This museum traces the story of the Gunzenhausen area from the Neolithic to the early Middle Ages. Its showpieces are grave goods from the Westheim cemetery, alongside Roman, Hallstatt and La Tène finds. The collection grew from the lifelong digging and gathering of a local physician between 1878 and 1934. The town also has a city museum and a museum of fossils and stone printing.
