Muzeum św. Maksymiliana "Był Człowiek"

This museum inside the Niepokalanów monastery tells the story of Father Maximilian Kolbe, who gave his life for a fellow prisoner in Auschwitz. The exhibition has three parts, covering the history of the monastery and its publishing work, Kolbe himself, and Franciscan missions around the world. It occupies a pre-war building that once housed a laundry and a carpenter's workshop.
