Městské muzeum ve Volyni

This museum spreads across two historic buildings in Volyně, the old stronghold and the former town hall. It tells the story of the town and the surrounding Šumava foothills, starting with a hillfort whose 11th and 12th-century finds include pottery and bronze earrings from a burial ground, and moving on to the town's founding in 1299. Permanent exhibitions, temporary shows and regional collections are on offer.
