Museum Riegel

This archaeological museum is about everyday life in Roman Riegel some 2000 years ago. A highlight is a terra sigillata drinking vessel showing a hippocampus, found in 2000 and now the museum's emblem. You will also see an eye doctor's stamp engraved with a salve recipe, an interactive model of the Roman basilica, and a display case on the cult of Mithras.
