Museum Burg Golling

Housed in Golling's castle, this regional museum covers the natural and cultural history of the area. A highlight is the collection of fossils from the northern limestone Alps of the Tennengau: remains of animals from the Tethys Sea, between 65 and 250 million years old. Among them is the fossil skeleton of Omphalosaurus wolfi.
