Keltenmuseum Hallein

Right on the Salzach, in the former salt-works administration building of 1654, the museum presents finds on Celtic art and on salt production at the Dürrnberg. On the top floor the princes' rooms survive, decorated with paintings of scenes from the salt works. A visit combines archaeology with a historic building.
