Feuerwehrmuseum Mechenried

Helmets are the heart of this collection: around 150 fire-fighting helmets from across Europe, gathered over decades by one collector who often restored them himself. Roughly 2,200 further items on firefighting fill out the display, including equipment, plaques, medals and uniforms. It is shown on the upper floor of Mechenried's old school, a building dating from the Echter era.
