Jüdisches Museum Hohenems
Hohenems, Vorarlberg
This museum tells the story of Hohenems's Jewish community, which lasted three centuries until it was destroyed under the Nazis. It sits in the Villa Heimann-Rosenthal, built in 1864 in the former Jewish quarter, and the villa is part of the experience. Topics range from expulsion, deportation and antisemitism to Jewish life in Europe today and the stories of families and their descendants around the world.
