Stadtmuseum Traiskirchen

Housed in the old halls of a worsted mill, this local history museum covers more than 3,000 square metres and brings daily life in the first half of the 20th century to life. Its 35 rooms deal with wine growing, farming, trades, industry, the fire brigade and schooling. Reconstructed shops, including a baker, grocer, barber and watchmaker, give a vivid picture of the era. There are also radios and gramophones, vintage cars and police caps from around the world.
