This is the place to follow Güstrow's story beyond the castle, from the town's founding in the High Middle Ages to the end of the 20th century. The city museum stands on Franz-Parr-Platz, a short walk from Güstrow Castle and the Ernst Barlach Theatre. Its permanent exhibition leads through the centuries of town life and pairs well with a stroll through the old town.
