Skulpturensammlung Dresden

Sculpture spanning five millennia, from antiquity through the early modern period to modern work. Alongside statues you will find vases, terracottas, bronzes, Assyrian relief panels and Egyptian mummies. Works up to 1800 are shown in the Semperbau by the Zwinger, together with the Old Masters Picture Gallery, while sculpture from 1800 onward is in the Albertinum. The collection grew from the Kunstkammer of 1560, and its antiquities were built up under Augustus the Strong.
