Ostholstein-Museum Eutin

In the former royal stables beside Eutin Palace, this art museum of the Ostholstein district shows the town as an intellectual centre around 1800. Documents on poets such as Voß and Stolberg, items on composer Carl Maria von Weber, Eutin pewter and silver, and faience paint a picture of its cultural life. The collection also holds paintings and works on paper by Tischbein, who lived here as gallery director, and landscape painting from 1860 on.
