Muzeum Sztuki w Łodzi

A museum of modern and contemporary art that has been collecting the avant-garde since the early 1930s, with three venues in Łódź: ms1, ms2 and the Herbst Palace. Its collection covers twentieth- and twenty-first-century art and grows out of the a.r. group, whose members included Władysław Strzemiński, Katarzyna Kobro and Henryk Stażewski. It is among the oldest museums in Europe built around modern art from the start.
