Muzeum Pałac Herbsta

This neo-Renaissance villa built for the Łódź industrialist Edward Herbst still has its 19th-century palace interiors, giving a sense of how a wealthy manufacturing family lived. In the former carriage house on the grounds, the Gallery of Old Art shows a permanent exhibition of works that had long been kept in storage by the Museum of Art. The buildings fell into disrepair after the war, and after years of renovation and restoration of the rooms they opened to visitors in 1990. It is a branch of the Museum of Art in Łódź.
