Muzeum Archeologiczne w Gdańsku

This archaeological museum gathers traces of the prehistory of northern Poland and of everyday life in Gdańsk and Gdańsk Pomerania from the early Middle Ages to modern times. It also shows amber and amber work from prehistory to the present, and the material culture of the people of Sudan. The museum runs its own excavations in the region, and since 1987 in Gdańsk's historic centre too.
