Museum Geiserschmiede

This is a hammer forge that still works. The local history museum in Bühlertal shows a water-powered workshop used for over a century, in a building at least 300 years old. The stream Bühlot once drove a grain mill, converted into a forge in 1891, and until 1961 it produced tools for the region's farms and forests. Besides local history, displays, demonstrations and interactive media explain the blacksmith's craft.
