Museum für Glaskunst Lauscha

Lauscha is known for its glass, and this museum shows how that came about. It follows the history of glassmaking and artistic glassblowing in this part of the Thuringian Slate Mountains, where the village sits on the ridge. The museum has been open since 1903. The Lauscha glassworks is regarded as the mother of Thuringia's glass industry, which gives the story its starting point.
