On the Kornmarkt, this museum tells the story of the town and of the Saxon Upper Lusatia region. The permanent exhibition is divided into three themes: the region, the town of Bautzen, and art. The prehistoric and early history collection and the art collection are of interest well beyond the region. It also serves as the regional museum for Upper Lusatia.
