Městské muzeum ve Velké Bíteši

The museum occupies a house on Masarykovo náměstí, the main square of Velká Bíteš, where its collections finally settled after years of moving between schools, the town hall and even the old town jail. It opened here in 1957. The collections go back to the late 19th century, and the museum itself was founded in 1925, largely thanks to the local teacher and historian Jan Tiray. It is a small town museum, a good stop for anyone curious about the history of Velká Bíteš and its surroundings.
