Literaturmuseum Altaussee

Altaussee has drawn writers for generations, and this museum follows their traces, with a collection centred on Hugo von Hofmannsthal, Friedrich Torberg and Jakob Wassermann. The permanent exhibition combines text and pictures with period items and audio and video examples. There is also a reading room, a bookshop, a second-hand book sale and a literary garden. The LiteraTour, a literary walk through the village, starts from the door.
