Kunsthaus Stade

The Kunsthaus occupies a half-timbered warehouse of 1667 on the Schwinge in the old Hanseatic harbour. The crane beam and loading doors still recall the days when goods were hauled up by pulley. It hosts changing art exhibitions, from classic modernism to contemporary art, with artists such as August Macke, Hannah Höch and Pablo Picasso.
