Kunsthalle Düsseldorf

Contemporary art is the draw at this exhibition hall on Grabbeplatz, opposite the Kunstsammlung Nordrhein-Westfalen. The building itself is a piece of Brutalism, with raw exposed concrete, visible structure and sculptural forms. The same complex houses the Kom(m)ödchen cabaret stage, a bar and a bookshop. A second exhibition space lies in the basement of the Kunst im Tunnel pavilion on the Rhine promenade.
