This local history museum sits in the Krügersches Haus, the oldest surviving half-timbered house in Geesthacht. It covers the town's settlement and economic history, with Bronze Age finds, the Düneberg gunpowder factory, the Krümmel dynamite factory, the fire and rebuilding of the old centre, and Tesperhude as a health resort. Art exhibitions are held here too.
