Galerie Slováckého muzea

This gallery of the Slovácko Museum occupies a former military armoury from the 18th century on Otakarova street. After the Uherské Hradiště fortress was abolished, the building also served as a post office and a warehouse; today it is a protected monument. Inside you find fine art, a collection that began almost with the museum itself, and art already had space in its first exhibition in 1914. Collectors and artists, Joža Uprka among them, helped build it. The gallery has been here since 1962.
