Forum lebendige Textilgeschichte

This textile museum traces how Groß-Siegharts grew from the 17th century into a centre of the Waldviertel textile industry. It occupies a wing of the former Wagner ribbon factory. In the old weaving hall upstairs, a reconstructed system of leather belts and shafts drives several large looms and machines, and on guided tours it is switched on so you can see textile production at work.
