Forstbotanische Ausstellung im Schweizerhaus Tharandt

The Schweizerhaus, built in 1842 as Tharandt's first forestry teaching building, holds the exhibition of the Forest Botanical Garden. It covers the garden's history, its role as a habitat for plants and animals, and a section on growth anomalies that shows children how plants adapt to their surroundings. A museum has occupied the building since 1885, in a garden among the oldest tree collections in the world.
