Bergbau- und Gotikmuseum Leogang

Mining in this area goes back three thousand years, and in the late Middle Ages its profits paid for outstanding Gothic art. This museum in Hütten connects the two, with twenty exhibitions on about 1,000 square metres covering mining history and sacred Gothic works, from its own holdings and from loans. It opened in 1992.
