Beethovenhaus Baden

Beethoven took the cure in Baden in the summers of 1821 to 1823 and lodged here, writing major parts of his Ninth Symphony, hence the name House of the Ninth. The first floor is furnished as in his day, with memorabilia and letters written from Baden. The ground floor is devoted to the Ninth, and in the basement you can explore sound and experience his growing deafness. The town house dates back to the 16th century.
