Vulkanmuseum Daun

Set in Daun's old district office, this museum explains how the Vulkaneifel came to be. Information boards, photographs and exhibits cover the region as well as active volcanoes in Europe and Asia. Interactive computer models, an overview map with lights marking active volcanoes and a simulation of the continents in past and future ages make plate tectonics and the rock cycle easy to grasp.
