On a hill above the Moselle valley, this open-air museum presents the rural culture of the Moselle and Saar region, from the Eifel and Hunsrück to Saarland, Luxembourg and Lorraine. Visitors have 4,000 square metres of exhibition space and 22 hectares of grounds to explore. Founded in 1976, it is among the larger folk-life museums in Germany.
