Verkehrsmuseum Dresden

Railways, road transport, aviation and shipping all come together here, with 5,000 square metres of vehicles and exhibits. The museum has occupied the Johanneum on Dresden's Neumarkt, an annexe of the Residenzschloss, since 1956. It grew out of the Saxon Railway Museum, whose wartime-evacuated pieces were its first exhibits.
