Tiefer Stollen
Aalen, Baden-Württemberg
A visitor mine inside the Braunenberg hill near Wasseralfingen, this former iron ore pit takes you through tunnels, shafts and passages. Ore was dug here from 1608 to 1939, and the underground maze grew to about six kilometres. The most interesting sections are now open to see, and the tunnels are also used for breathing cures.
