Städtische Galerie im Lenbachhaus und Kunstbau München

The Florentine-style villa that the painter Franz von Lenbach had built in the late 19th century now houses Munich's municipal art museum. It shows works by Munich painters and contemporary artists, including pieces from the Blue Rider and New Objectivity circles. Some of Lenbach's living rooms survive in their original state, and the Kunstbau, an underground exhibition space above Königsplatz U-Bahn station, belongs to the museum.
