On an old warehouse floor among the brick buildings of Hamburg's Speicherstadt, everything here revolves around spices. Across about 350 square metres you can touch, smell and taste more than 100 of them, and learn where they come from and what they are used for. Over 900 items from the last five centuries show how spices are grown, harvested, processed and shipped, tying the trade to the story of Hamburg and seafaring.
