Museumsdorf Volksdorf

Seven farmhouses and working buildings from the 17th to 19th centuries show how people lived and worked around Hamburg. Three stand where they were originally built; the others were moved here from the surrounding area or rebuilt on the pattern of old ones. An exhibition presents household and working tools, and on craft days old handicraft techniques are demonstrated. The grounds are open to walk around except on Mondays, while the interiors can only be seen on a guided tour.
