Museum für Sächsische Volkskunst

Housed in the Jägerhof in Dresden's Neustadt, this museum shows what people across Saxony have made by hand over the centuries. The collection runs to more than 27,000 pieces, with plenty of Ore Mountain folk art alongside regional work from Lusatia and the Vogtland dating from the 18th century on, including musical instruments from the Musikwinkel. A puppet theatre collection is part of the museum as well.
