Museum für Franken

Up on the Marienberg Fortress above Würzburg, the Museum für Franken tells the story of the region through art and craft. Its 45 galleries hold paintings, sculpture and decorative arts from Würzburg and Main-Franconia, running from prehistory to the 19th century. The focus is on works by Franconian artists and by those who worked for Franconian patrons. It pairs well with a walk around the fortress grounds.
