This museum in Steyr's Wehrgraben traces how life and work have changed since industrialisation. It occupies restored mid-19th-century factory buildings right on the River Steyr. It opened in 1987 as part of an Upper Austrian regional exhibition and won the Austrian Museum Prize in 2019.
