Museen im Rathaus

Glass and nativity scenes are the two themes of the permanent display in Plößberg's town hall. One section shows historic tools and models of glass furnaces, a trade for which the town is still known, and uses a local firm to trace how the craft grew into a high-tech industry. Nearly 1,000 glass products from works where Plößberg furnace builders were active sit alongside it. The third section is given over to house nativity scenes, a craft the furnace builders picked up on their travels and carved themselves in winter.
