Perched on a conspicuous hill cone above the Saale valley, this medieval castle looks out over the Middle Saale valley and the Thuringian Holzland. Inside the walls, the Porzellanwelten Leuchtenburg exhibition is devoted to porcelain. A modern extension leads to the Steg der Wünsche, a walkway that juts out over the valley.
