This gallery collects art by German artists from the former eastern territories and from German settlement areas in eastern and southeastern Europe. The main building in Regensburg's city park dates from 1871 and began as a municipal gymnasium before being converted for exhibitions. Opposite stands a shooting lodge from 1652, the oldest structure on the site.
