Just below Karlštejn Castle, this wax museum and kaleidoscopic cinema fills more than 700 square metres. The tour opens with a giant kaleidoscope built from rear projection and mirrors, then moves through period scenes: the Hussite era, the age of Rudolf II and Napoleon's time, with figures such as Maria Theresa, Franz Joseph I and the Czech national revivalists. You will also see a miniature of the town as it was when the castle was built, medieval craftsmen, a prison and an executioner, and learn how the figures are made.
