Heimatstube Assel

A tour through farm and village households, craft workshops and farming life of past times. You will see a complete shoemaker's workshop, products of the Assel factory Tripmacker, which made floor wax, shoe polish, udder balm and tree wax, plus enamel advertising signs, clocks, ship models, scales, beehives and traditional costumes. Members of the local citizens' association look after the displays and gladly share the stories behind the items.
