This museum in Wahlstedt traces how a village became a town. You duck under an oak beam into the village of 1850 to 1935, with old workshops and displays on the blacksmith, weaver, school and barber. A model of the naval arsenal, built in the nearby forest from 1936, marks the shift to the town; its halls housed the first industry after 1947.
