Gedenkstätte Bergen-Belsen

A documentation centre on the grounds of the former Bergen-Belsen concentration camp recounts the history of the site. The permanent exhibition follows it from a barracks settlement for construction workers through the prisoner-of-war camp and concentration camp to liberation by the British. It also covers the displaced persons camp on the neighbouring barracks grounds and postwar trials.
