Flugwerft Schleißheim

Set on an old airfield near Munich, this aviation museum shows aircraft, helicopters, engines and jet turbines, along with onboard equipment and a flight simulator. The collection runs from propeller planes and gliders to jets and a vertical-takeoff aircraft. From a gallery you can watch restorers at work in a glass-walled workshop. Part of the display is housed in restored buildings of the Royal Bavarian flying corps, part in a hall built in 1992.
