Erwin-Strittmatter-Gedenkstätte Der Laden

This small house at Dorfstraße 37 in Bohsdorf was the village shop and bakery run by the Strittmatter family until 1949, and it is the setting of Erwin Strittmatter's novel trilogy. You can see 1920s goods on the original shelves, the old scales with duck-head ornaments and the goods-received book Strittmatter kept from October 1945. In the former bakehouse, a small exhibition covers the family and the writer's work.
