Medieval sacred art and the cathedral treasure of St Stephen's meet key works of modern and contemporary art here. The museum occupies the historicist Zwettlerhof right on Stephansplatz, beside the Archbishop's Palace. The architect Boris Podrecca designed its conversion. It makes a good stop after seeing St Stephen's Cathedral itself.
